Johnny’s Backyard Product Modification & Design Integrity Policy
At Johnny’s Backyard, safety, structural integrity, and manufacturer compliance come first.
We sell and install products that are engineered, tested, and warrantied by their manufacturers.
Because of this, we do not alter, modify, or redesign manufacturer products beyond their approved options.
What This Means
- Add aftermarket materials not supplied or approved by the manufacturer
- Reinforce, waterproof, coat, or alter structural components
- Install auxiliary items such as custom awnings, coverings, membranes, or add-ons
- Modify roofing systems, framing, or load-bearing parts
- Custom build changes outside published manufacturer options
If it is not part of the manufacturer’s approved configuration, we cannot install it.
This includes materials purchased from hardware stores or requested during installation.
Why We Have This Policy
- Void manufacturer warranties
- Create safety risks
- Shift liability to Johnny’s Backyard
- Compromise structural performance
- Lead to premature product failure
Even small changes can introduce unknown structural variables. Our responsibility is to install products
exactly as designed and tested.
Customization Options
- Manufacturer-approved upgrades
- Published accessory options
- Approved configuration changes
If you are looking for something outside of standard options, we will review whether the manufacturer
offers an approved solution.
Installer Authority
Our installers and subcontractors are not authorized to approve or perform design modifications in the field.
If a request falls outside manufacturer specifications, it will be respectfully declined.
Our Commitment
We do not experiment with structural systems. We do not take shortcuts. We protect your family, our team,
and our company by honoring the original engineered design of every product we install.
